Week 2 is done

Well, week 2 did not go as i planned but that's totally okay. As i am sure many of you know things happen to women every month that cause, bloating, irritability and weight gain. Well, that was my last week. LOL! Poor Matt had to deal with a feisty grouchy wife all week. I try so hard not to be, but sometimes we just can't help ourselves.

So I went to Weight Watchers and was up .6. Which honestly is nothing and i can loose that quickly as soon as the visit from Aunt Flo goes away. But on a positive note and one that makes this whole last week worth it, is I worked out 6 of the 7 days! I refuse to give up and give in on this diet, so we are going to keep on plucking through it and going for health.

So this week.... week 3 is going to be a hard week. For one its my birthday week and I plan on enjoying myself and eating plenty of yummies. But two things I am going to really focus on this week are: Portion control and Working out. My goal is to not come away from this Birthday weekend have gained a lot. So we will see. Some weeks I know will be easier then others and I think these 2 weeks are my hard ones!

So this is going to be a short post, but I promise that next weeks will be a lot more and I plan on showing you all my workout routine on the fit board. I apologize now for how stupid I may look. LOL!

Until next week,

Chicken Parmagiana and Answers

So I want to do a different kind of post, once a week on Wednesdays. This post is going to include a yummy recipe with pictures and also I would like to start a Q & A section. So if you have a question for me on the diet, life, etc. Ask away and I will do my best to answer these for you each week. For this to be successful though, I need questions, and lots of them. So ask away and wait and see each Wednesday what the answers are. If you know anyone that may be struggling with weight loss or with confidence in their selves send them my way. I have no problem if you want to share my Blog on Facebook with others or even the website address. I want this Blog to not only be a way to help me with this journey but to also help others.

So I am excited for this weeks recipe: We are starting with Chicken Parmigiana. Which my husband loves to eat. But as you all know fried chicken or even baked breaded chicken is not the healthiest, so this recipe is a mix on the classic Chicken Parmigiana.

So what we will need:

Non-stick cooking spray
Italian Seasoning
Tomato Sauce
Chicken Breast
Salt
Pepper
Garlic Powder
Mozzarella Cheese

I love fresh ingredients just like anyone else, but sometimes we have to cook with what we have on hand. Sadly tonight's meal was using dried seasoning, but it still taste amazing.

So I forgot to take pictures of the first step, but here ya go....

1. Preheat over to 400

2. Spray baking dish with cooking spray

3. Deyucky Chicken (that means chicken is gross and remove the gross stuff)

4. Place chicken in the baking dish

5. Season with Salt, Pepper, Italian Seasoning, and Garlic Powder

6. Spray a piece of parchment paper with cooking spray and place on top of chicken

7. Place Baking Dish in preheated oven and cook for approx 35 min or until chicken in middle is 170 degrees.

8. Make your sauce, by using one can of tomato sauce, Italian seasoning and garlic powder. I don't measure out how much spices I put in but I use a lot, and taste to see if its where I like it.

9. Last night we used Butternut Squash noodles, I got these awesome prespiralized noodles at Target and have used them in several meals. The noodles are by Veggie Noodle Co. And they have a few different varieties. They are amazing and save a lot of prep time. I put these in a skillet with non-stick spray to warm them up.

10. When you chicken is done, remove from the oven and cover with sauce and mozzarella cheese. (Apparently I didn't realize we were out of Mozzarella Cheese so we used a Weight Watchers String Cheese on each one) then place back in the oven, for a few minutes under broil to melt the cheese.

And there you go a fantastic, quick and yummy meal. The points in this meal were amazing. 2 points for the Chicken Breast and 1 point for the cheese. So literally the meal was 3 points due to Noodles and Sauce being free. We added 2 pieces of Sara Lee 45 calorie bread, that I sprayed with I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Spray and sprinkled with Garlic Salt, toasted and enjoyed. This made the entire meal 5 points. You could even add a side salad if you are still hungry.

So question of the day? What does my work-out look like? Well we have been slowly adding to it, so to start of we do the Basic twist on our Simply fit board for 4 min, then do 1 min of weights while still standing on the board. This really works your balance and core. For the 1 min of weights we tend to alternate different things. I usually do 8 curls, 8 Tricep Kick Backs, 8 squats, and 8 Shoulder Presses. Then its another 2 min of the Basic twist and this is repeated 3 times. So you are doing 3 reps of weights. And then we like to cool down right now with 3 min of the Basic Twist. This is a variation of what we do daily. Every other day I do sit-ups as well, last night my end count was 100 sit-ups. This I realize is not a huge amount of working out, but trust me I am already feeling a difference. My muscles are sore all the time and I am starting to notice the difference.

Feel free to ask any questions here on the blog post page or on my Facebook page and I will continue to answer them as they come up.

Soooooo..... WEEK 1, is done!

We have made it through the first week of the life change and Weight Watchers. And what an awesome week it has been. I feel like I have so much more energy right now, and I feel in control of things. I am not by any means saying that the Lifetime Fat loss diet isn't a good diet, I am just saying that it might not be the right diet for everyone. For me it was the perfect diet for quick and drastic weight loss. But in the end it was not a diet that I could keep living by. I was miserable and honestly tired of yo-yoing back up in weight.

So what should I tell you about week 1. Well the big news is.................. I lost 8.2 lbs. So I am now 280.2. I am only 11.8 lbs from my 1st month goal of 20 lbs. I have worked out everyday for the past week, and I can really feel it! Matt and I are doing this together for the most part, He is eating healthier and working out with me. He just really hasn't been keeping track of the points.

So what is the key to success with Weight Watchers? I think its planning stuff out. I have been premaking my lunches for the week on Sundays and planning out our whole menu each week. I also know that I have a lot of stuff coming up this month with my birthday and that means a lot of cake, so to make it easier on myself..............I requested different things.

To break this down for you........... I get 43 points a week and 42 extra points a week. A slice of cake with icing is 24 points alone. So I made the decision to request Angel Food cake, its only 4 points a slice for my birthday with Matt's side of the family and my mom is making me Jello Pretzel Salad and its probably between 5 and 10 points. Still both are way less than one slice of cake. By doing this I am able to stay on Target. Does this mean I wont be eating any cake for my birthday? NOPE, on my actual Birthday Matt is going to take me to Gigi's cupcakes and I am going to get 1 cupcake to eat. And that's all I need. The best part is there is no leftovers and nothing to tempt me to eat more. Other things I have planned out, our instead of going out to Mexican My mom is make taco's at her house and I am picking up my favorite salsa from Chuy's. This way I can use baked tortilla chips instead of fried and not be tempted by all the extra yummy extra fatty foods.

So that kind of gives you an idea of what I am doing to try and stay on track. So I took some pictures of different things I ate this week and all were super yummy. And super easy to make and keep track of.

So from top to bottom: Brushchetta, 3 Turkey Meatballs, and Spiraled Butternut Squash 5 smart points, Mini Pizza's on Multi grain English Muffin 9 pts, Taco Salad with Turkey Meat, Fat Free Sour Cream, and Baked Tostitos 15pts. And for a snack rice cake, with peanut butter and strawberries 3 pts.

Now there are ways to make the Taco Salad less points, omit the olives, less cheese, and less chips are some ways. But I had a bunch of points to use that evening, so that's what I put on it. I don't feel cheated on this diet at all. I am just having to pick and choose what I want. This last week we didn't eat out at all. This week our Bestie Ryan brought us Potbelly Sub sandwiches Sunday for the Super Bowl and I was able to plan it out and see how many points it would be. It was 17 pts and no mayo added to it, but it was delicious and just what I wanted. Matt and I are trying hard not to eat out a lot, and to really cook yummy healthy foods at home.

So for working out we are doing the simply fit board, It is a lot of fun and super easy. Last week we did 10 min workouts each evening and every other night I did and additional 50-60 sit ups. Let me tell you my ABS have been killing me. The nice thing about the 10 min work out is it's fast, but you are also using weights and working your arms, core and legs. Starting today we have upped our work out to 16 min. I think we are going to alternate this week, with 10 min and 16 min work outs. I am trying to gradually increase so I don't over exert myself and give up.

So that is just a small preview of whats been going on. I look forward to updating you all on each week and how things are going for us. I did forget to mention last week but one of the best things about this is that my sister has also started Weight Watchers with me. She lost 6.2 lbs this last week and I am so proud of her. We are working hard to achieve our goals and we are looking forward to what each week holds.

Until next time.......... Faith, Love, Pixie Dust and ME!

I'm back! And ready to talk!

So it appears I have disappeared for awhile now. Thing were amazing at Disney World, it was everything I could ever possibly dream it to be. From the first time we saw the castle, which we got to ride an old crank start fire truck all the way there, to meeting Winnie the Pooh my childhood love. Every moment was amazing and more than I could ever imagine.

With those last last couple of months before Disney of dieting, I achieved my biggest goal of walking Disney. And I did it! I walked every bit of it without issue and enjoyed this so much. I never felt like I couldn't do it. Was I sore heck yeah! But so was my hubby and my son, who can run circles around us all. I never once didn't get to not do something! It was such an amazing experience and made me so happy! Best vacation ever!

But as with all amazing dreams there, are so draw backs. One being Soda Pop! While on vacation in the Most Magical Place on earth, we had free drinks with our stay. And lets just say lots and lots of sugary soda. When we got back this didn't change and we kept drinking it more and more. Another draw back with every meal they gave you dessert. Don't get me wrong they were amazing desserts, but so not good for you. I mean we are talking Chocolate covered marshmallows, cakes, cookies, ice cream and more 2 times a day. And as much as I wanted to be strong, dessert is my kryptonite.

So I am sure you are wondering what this means, well what it means is that I have gained back alot of the weight I lost. When I weighed in Yesterday with my new diet start date, I was at 286.6. All that hard work down the drain! I have discovered that I struggle with how to eat when not on the strict program. When I tried to change some of that, I discovered I couldn't eat by my DNA until I reached the point I wanted to be at, which is well over 100 lbs away. This was something I had misunderstood when I signed up.

So Matt and I talked a lot about this and what it meant for me. I can't live eating what I was eating forever. First off cause I hate Chicken and was so tired of eating the same thing over and over again. It gets old and I find that when I would go off this diet for a short time I yo-yo'd bad! I would gain 10-20 lbs back easily. So we decided to try something different this time. I want something that will keep teaching me how to eat without making me feel like I am being tortured by a diet.

So.... yesterday was Day 1 on Weight Watchers. They have a new plan that seems to really focus on the right foods, movement and changing the way we think. I don't know if this is the end all be all answer and I know I am not going to loose as fast this way, but I already feel so much more sane. I don't feel starved and I am still eating super healthy. Granted we are only on day 2, so I am praying that this stays this way.

So I am going to do a better job of updating and keeping you all posted on what's going on! Who knows maybe we will succeed to getting back to 250 and under, Lol! As my Bestie Allison told me the other day " I feel like you can handle the other really strict diet that you can do just about anything" and I am so thankful for her and hearing that! She is right, I can do this no problem! Its taking baby steps and getting soda out of my life again! Which it is!!! NO MORE SODA POP FOR ME!

Until next time..... Faith, Love, Pixie Dust and Me!

I can't believe this has happend......................

I started this Journey on June 25th, it is now Oct 6th and so in under 4 month, I made my next goal of 250.0 lbs. Yes you are reading this correctly. I weighed in this morning at 250.0lbs. I have never been so happy! What a relief! This was the goal I wanted to make by Disney World. Which is 2 weeks away and I did it! I am super excited and still have until the 14th on this Phase 2, so who knows maybe we will get to 240.0lbs before Disney. Which would be good, cause I may need a 10lb buffer. Cause I do plan on enjoying myself and eating yummy food. God has been by my side this whole time and I have felt him leading me along. I am so beyond excited that I achieved this goal. I just can't believe that I did it. Still have 100lbs to go, but what an amazing feeling. Since I started this I have lost 48.8 lbs. It's insane. When I started back up after a brief let everything go moment I had gotten back up to 266.8 on Sept 27th, So I have lost 16.8lbs in 9 days! I am still in shock. I just want to thank you all for continuing to support me and pray for me. I couldn't do this without all of you! I meet with Dr. Joe on Monday and I will update you with a new weight loss chart and pictures.

Until Monday............. Faith, Love, Pixie Dust, and Me!

Hi! It's Me Again!

Hi all! Yes I am still here! Sorry it's been awhile. We have a had a busy, crazy, stressful, couple of weeks and I am anxious for it to be calming down. So I hope this finds you all doing wonderful and have a great end of September. I am so excited for all this less hot weather. It means we can start walking outside again without melting.

So the LIFE CHANGE..................well how has it been going you may be wondering. Well, sadly it hasn't been. I have no excuse other than we were so busy and constantly going, that well I just didn't care. It's not a good reason, or an ok one, but it is what it is. I put on about 10 lbs in the last couple of weeks and as of today am back on the LIFE CHANGE.

This was eye opening for me, as to how quickly we can absorb back into old habits, and how with the way my body is, I am always going to struggle with weight and staying healthy. It's never going to be something where I can eat whatever I want when I want. Sometimes I will be able to have things I want, but for the most part I have to keep on eating appropriately.

So I am just going to keep on keeping on. We are going to start walking outside at night and going back to the GYM. We just can't take time off, since I am starting a new position on the 10th of October. This will make getting to the Gym easier to do, and more likely to happen. So as I continue on this journey, I will update you. Hopefully before Disney gets here, I can get to my original goal of 250. We shall see.

How DID we do?

So here we are again..... I went for my 10 day meeting with Dr. Joe on Tuesday afternoon. So we may be wondering how it went. Well first off I like his scale so much more than my own. LOL! His scale showed me at 252.6. My scale said 257.4. So I am not sure why mine showed so much higher. He was not concerned and the next day mine was already dropping down to 255.0.

So my results are from 8/15/16 to 9/6/16

Weight down from 263.2 to 252.6
BMI down from 45.2 to 43.4
Body Fat from 49.5% to 48.7%
Body Fat mass from 130.0 lbs to 122.8 lbs.
Visceral Fat was a 14 and is still a 14

So when I started this all on 6/16/16

Weight 297.4
My BMI was 51.1
Body Fat 53.4
Fat Free Mass 159.0
Visceral Fat 18

So as you can see my body is going through lots of amazing changes! I definitely am feeling so much better physically.

The best part of all of this is just how close I am to getting out of the red zones on so many things. My BMI is still high getting out of the red zone on it is taking awhile, but I am getting closer and closer. To be in the yellow zone I have to get to 30 and then lower to be in the green. My body fat % is only about 8% from yellow. My visceral fat really excites me I am literally 2pts from Green! So we are getting closer and closer!

So I am pretty pleased with everything. My biggest issue this time around is just the struggle. I honestly don't want to be doing this right now at all, but I am pushing through and going to continue on. I haven't been perfect this time around so far. There have been cheat meals and etc. But the important thing is, I am still not eating as much or really that much crudy food. And when I have eaten something not 100% good I am trying to make sure the rest of my food that day is spot on.

So comparison pictures.... please excuse my bra I forgot the shirt shows all of that. LOL
Day 1 on Left and Now on Right

Mainly because today when I am rocking my new sweater and shirt in a size 2, I no longer feel like I look like a rectangle, I am starting to get curves again!! Wohoo!!!
